  • IMSE is not an approved provider of CEUs for unemployed educators, however, they are still eligible for college credits.

Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDU)
  • Participants from Illinois should reach out to their school to inquire about credits for IMSE courses

Iowa

Participants can receive 2 licensure renewal credits by taking either the IMSE Comprehensive Course or the IMSE Intermediate Course.

Massachusetts


Professional Development Points (PDP)
  • 30 Hour Courses (Comprehensive and Intermediate) - 45 PDPs
  • Participants should provide the State of Massachusetts with a copy of their special certificate issued by IMSE

SC Read to Succeed Literacy Teacher Endorsement: The Institute for Multi-Sensory Education's Orton-Gillingham courses and practicums have been approved by the SC Department of Education to satisfy the Instructional Practices coursework requirement of the Read to Succeed legislation in the following capacities: 
Completion of both the Comprehensive and Intermediate Courses (60 hours of professional development) 
Course Name and Number: 19-385: IMSE O-G Comprehensive and Intermediate Training

OR

Completion of the Comprehensive or Intermediate Course and its corresponding practicum (80 hours of professional development)

ASHA Renewal

Review ASHA’s definition of professional development and acceptable professional development activities to determine the acceptability of the course you’d like to complete.

Please do not send your certificate of attendance to ASHA. ASHA will notify you if you have been randomly selected for audit; only at that time will you need to submit your documentation of participation.
